Here is a short, but apt, review of Cohen's magisterial work, Duke Ellington's America.

    Haven't read the whole review, but the second sentence is "The answer can be found in a 1974 exchange between a journalist and Ellington's long-term collaborator Billy Strayhorn." Huh? Billy Strayhorn died in 1967?
